Insiders indicate that the reason for Burke’s departure was “because he was not interacting with the actors.”
Burke, 42, was an OG member of the Fab Five in the rebooted version of Strange eyewhich premiered in 2018. He starred alongside him Karamo Brown, Tan France, Antoni Porowski And Jonathan Van Ness.
According to the source, there were “many challenges” that led to Burke’s exit.
“There were many challenges in scheduling [and] “There has been a loss of interest from Bobby in filming the show,” the insider adds. “The network and the cast thought it was time to bring in new blood. His heart wasn’t in it, and the rest of the cast started to resent him for it.
But a second source says: we that Burke “was not asked to leave” and that “the decision was an amicable one.”
Burke, interior design expert Strange eyeHe confirmed his departure from reality television on Monday, November 13, in a lengthy statement to “Strange eye A community that has become a family to me.”
“The love I’ve received from you over the past six years has been absolutely surreal,” he wrote, sharing several old photos from the show. “You have followed and been loyal fans, and together we have been able to share the healing powers of design. From you I learned everything about kindness, love and acceptance and it changed my life for the better. The way you embraced me and accepted me as I am is something I will truly carry with me for the rest of my life.”
Burke also praised the show’s “heroes” who were the subject of the spin-off changes.
“To all of our wonderful, loving, amazing, brave heroes, there is so much I want to say, and so much gratitude I want to express to all of you for letting me into your homes and your hearts,” Burke continued. “It’s all because of you, I’ve kept moving forward all these years and every one of you has changed me for the better. I’m so proud of all of you! Being able to help guide you to find the best version of yourself is something I’ve never taken for granted and never will.”

“We are #ForeverTheFab5 no matter what,” Brown, 43, wrote in an Instagram comment. “I’m about to be [at] Netflix door and emails telling them you can’t leave! Who will come with me? 😢😍I love you!”
Burke is still a part of Strange eye Season 8, which was actually filmed in New Orleans. It will premiere on Netflix on January 24, 2024.
