White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre exploded Thursday when a reporter asked her about President Biden “lying” about his past dealings with his son Hunter’s business partners, declaring there was “no evidence” the president did anything wrong.

Jean-Pierre also criticized House Republicans over the vote to approve a formal impeachment inquiry into Biden, accusing them of “wasting their time,” but the interaction began with New York Post reporter Steven Nelson asking why Biden was interacting with so many members of his team. The family’s business partners, which helped launch the investigation.

“What we’re seeing from House Republicans is a waste of time. And it’s certainly, you know, baseless political direction. That’s what we’re seeing. And they’re leaving. House Republicans are leaving this week, you know.” “Have a nice vacation, right? As most Americans should. But what happened to the funding provided to Ukraine?” Jean-Pierre answered.

She listed a number of other policy topics, including borders and a potential government shutdown next year, and claimed that Republicans have not done anything to help Democrats address these issues.

“There was no evidence, zero evidence,” Jean-Pierre said. “You can ask me about the communication and what the president did with his family in the conversation. But there is no evidence.”

Nelson tried to respond, but Jean-Pierre stopped him.

“Wait, wait. But there’s no evidence. There’s no evidence that the president committed wrongdoing. There’s no evidence at all. Nothing. And that’s just a fact. I’ve heard it from the Republicans themselves. So they’re wasting money.” “They’re going after the president’s family instead of doing the work on behalf of the American people,” she said. “But it’s a waste of time.”

Nelson indicated that there is an easy response to her claim, and that there is evidence showing that Biden interacted with these partners, and that he was “lying” about it.

He added: “The president is not lying about anything in terms of what House Republicans are trying to do. This is baseless. It is a political ploy. It has not been proven that the president did anything wrong, any mistake. And so they are.” Jean-Pierre replied: “They are wasting their time. They are wasting the time of the American people.”

“What they should do are the things I just mentioned. They will go home, but they didn’t care what it was — we need to make sure we help Ukraine. There will probably be a closure next month,” she said before turning to another reporter. “They did nothing, nothing to avoid this closure.”

Last week, Biden was pressed during a press conference about why he interacted with “so many” foreign business partners of his son and brother, but denied any such interactions, despite evidence to the contrary.

Biden responded, saying: “I will not comment. I did not comment, it is just a bunch of lies.” “They’re lies. I didn’t do it. They’re lies.”

One of Hunter’s former business partners responded to President Biden’s comments by telling Fox News Digital that his claim was “completely false” and said there was “plenty of evidence” to refute his denials.
