A local Democrat in Georgia recently found herself in hot water after she passed out in the street outside a sports bar and hurled expletives at first responders while being taken to the hospital in distress.

Former Clayton County Board of Commissioners Vice Chairwoman Felicia Franklin claimed she ended up in that state after being given a date-rape drug, but police disputed that, saying there was no evidence of such a substance in her toxicology report.

Frankling was attending an event in Morrow, Georgia, on the night of September 29, before police found her lying in the street outside the 404 Sports Bar and Grill.

According to police body camera footage of the encounter, Franklin became increasingly agitated after officers helped her into the ambulance and emergency personnel began transporting her to the hospital.

“I don’t know what they gave me,” Franklin says at one point in the video before getting wilder.

Franklin was eventually restrained and shouted “get the f**k out of my face” several times toward staff before calling her mother, which she continued when she arrived at the hospital.

In a statement posted on social media a few days later, Franklin called the incident a “deeply personal and disturbing experience,” and claimed that medical professionals believed she had been “drugged with GHB pills, more commonly known as ‘date rape pills.’ “”

“This incident has shaken me to my core. I was safe and did not leave the facility until the Morrow EMT medical professionals arrived and provided emergency support. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you,” she wrote.

“While I am still processing the details, I am committed to bringing light to this case. I believe it is important to use this moment as a catalyst for change. I will work closely with the authorities to ensure justice is done, and I will do so.” “We also call for improved safety measures at such events,” she said, adding that no one else should experience what she claims she did.

Contrary to Franklin’s claim, a video of her interview with police after the incident shows officers telling her there was no evidence of date rape drugs in her system, but there was evidence that she drank five alcoholic drinks and tested positive for cannabis.
