When the couple met in 2005, McDermott was married to Mary Jo Eustacewith whom he shares a son, Jack, to whom Spelling was married Charlie Shanyan.
“It was love at first sight. I fell hard…and then I noticed he had a wedding ring. And — oh, yeah — I had a husband, too,” Spelling wrote in her 2009 memoir, Story novelShe revealed that she and McDermott spent the night together at a hotel. “The next day, when I woke up next to Dean, I had no regrets.”
