Sony’s Spider Man movies have given us a little taste of everything from parasitic mayhem to Poison to the cartoonish brilliance of Spider-verse series to whatever Morbius it was supposed to be. Clairvoyance now enters the ring Madam Webb.
The first trailer for this standalone origin story introduces us to Cassandra Webb (Dakota Johnson), a paramedic who may have clairvoyant powers. As she tries to make sense of her newfound abilities and troubling past, she will cross paths with three young women (Sydney Sweeney, Celeste O’Connor, and Isabella Merced), all of whom are destined for a Spidey-powered future. But with the deadly Ezekiel Sims (Tahar Rahim) hot on all their trails, Cassie and this trio will have to band together and fight to survive in their present.
Madam Webb opens in theaters on Feb. 14.
