Roombas tend to be a bit more expensive than robot vacuums from brands like Shark or Roborock, making them something of a big Black Friday deal. But 2023 is a particularly exciting year for Roomba Black Friday deals. That’s because iRobot launched five new Roombas in September 2023, filling a few blind spots in the Roomba lineup, like budget options for mopping and budget options for avoiding small obstacles.

Not only is Black Friday season the best time to pick up one of these more affordable new Roombas even cheaper than they were at launch, but it’s also your chance to pick up one of the more expensive new Roombas at – convenient price.

Target’s Black Friday sale has begun and continues throughout the month of November

For example, we saw the iRobot Roomba Combo j9+ (the most advanced Roomba we didn’t expect to get a discount at all) drop a whopping $400 to $999 last week. However, this deal has now expired – so unless you want to wait until the actual Black Friday in the hope of getting a discount back, we suggest making your move if you see a deal you like.

We’re tracking all the live Roomba pre-Black Friday deals below, organized by whether they come with a self-emptying dock. If you need more guidance on comparing Roomba models, we have a guide. Here’s a quick rule of thumb: The plus sign means automatic emptying, and the “combo” in the title means cleaning options.

Open to a non-Roomba robot vacuum? Tons of models from Shark, Roborock and more are also on sale before Black Friday, and we’re tracking them too.

Why we like it

The Combo i5 is the cheapest Roomba cleaner and uses iRobot’s new Swap and Mop design, which means a separate water tank has to be manually snapped on board for the i5 to know it’s time to wet mop. The i5 (like the i3 and i4) can also be sent to specific rooms in your home thanks to a software update that introduced Imprint Smart Mapping technology on board budget Roombas.

Why we like it

The Roomba j6+ is another cheapest winner — this time, it’s the cheapest Roomba that can detect and avoid phone chargers and pet waste. Compared to the Roomba j7+, the j6+’s obstacle detection cameras aren’t as precise and may still require you to pick up things like towels or socks, or place a virtual barrier around pet bowls. But to be able to skip the clutter of fake cords on the floor and enjoy an automatic drain for less than $400, you can probably deal with the laundry going into the basket.
