A friendly reminder that Apple’s $3,500 Vision Pro headphones really aren’t that far off.
Set to launch in early 2024, the ambitious (and expensive) device already has an active software beta for people to view. Here’s how a pair of videos on getting into X came out this week, courtesy of the user @M1Astra. In the videos, you can get a basic idea of how Apple will train new users to use Vision Pro when it gets into people’s hands.

Then there’s a slightly more interesting video about creating your “persona” — or the digital representation of yourself that other people will see as they interact with you. Setup seems to take just a few seconds and looks pretty similar to setting up Face Unlock on any smartphone. Look left, look right, etc.

It’s pretty basic stuff, but at least it’s kind of cool to see what everyone will see when they buy Visio Pro next year. Or at least anyone with $3499 to spare.
